Linking Morrowind to Oblivion
Dear Morroblivion team, First of all, your mod looks fantastic and I'd like to help in any way possible (for example, I would love to have a chance at doing some voice acting, which I feel would greatly enhance the atmosphere and quality of the mod). I have thought about this mod a lot and how it could be improved and linked more closely to Oblivion, and came up with several ideas. Since the mod is set after the events of Morrowind and during those of Oblivion, you have removed all former quests, guilds and NPCs. I would love to have a hand in writing and coming up with ideas for new quests and guilds. In Oblivion, we often hear news of what happened in Morrowind after the Neverarine fulfilled his prophecy. We sometimes overhear people talking in the street how Oblivion gates are opening across the rest of Tamriel, and how in Morrowind the Telvanni are trying to close them. We hear that House Redoran is fighting a war with an army of Nords and Orcs, the Dunmer's greatest enemies. The city of Vivec has vanished, or has been taken by Daedra. The colonies on Solstheim have failed. House Indoril is dead. We have an opening for many great quests, factions and plotlines. Here I will outline some possibilities. -Join House Hlaalu, and choose to side with the Imperials or the Cammona Tong (which you can now officially join) over control of Morrowind. Hlaalu competes with the East Empire company for control over the remaining colonies on Solstheim, and also over the Ebony trade. -Join House Telvanni, and side with the Telvanni Lord of your choice, each with his own agenda and quests. In time, grow to become your own master, and unify House Telvanni under your banner. You will be focused on shutting the Oblivion gates now opening across Morrowind, and destroying the new Dremora fortress in the heart of Red Mountain. -Join House Redoran, and side with the Telvanni against the threat of the Daedric gates (which would be situated primarily around Red Mountain, which is Redoran territory) and the Dremora fortress, while fighting off an uprising of Nords and Orcs that have rallied under one banner. Work with the Temple (which you can join) to retake the city of Vivec from the Daedra, and hold it against the Nord invasion. -As the Temple, you can help Redoran retake Vivec (the city, not the god - we can assume the Tribunal god Vivec was killed by overwhelming Daedra attacks) and then try to resurrect the Tribunal gods Vivec and Soltha Sil by recovering their hearts from the plane of Oblivion. Scourge the Great Houses from the new Sanguine Vampire cult, who feed so frequently they cannot be told apart from normal Dark Elves and have infiltrated normal society. -As the Morag Tong, fulfill new and more demanding contracts, while fighting a rival Vampire cult dedicated to Sanguine (?) and journeying to Cyrodiil to eradicate the Dark Brotherhood. If you are in the Dark Brotherhood, you can play this from the flip side and set up a secret fortress in Morrowind while fighting off the Morag Tong and the Sanguine cult (?). -As the Cammona Tong, struggle against the Thieves Guild and try to gain complete control of House Hlaalu. Kill off important Thieves Guild, Hlaalu and Imperial figures in Morrowind, and re-unify the Cammona Tong. This could be Dark Elves only. -As the Twin Lamps, seek to negotiate peace agreements between Redoran and the Khajiit, who are now at open warfare (?), and free all remaining slaves while estblishing a special council in the Imperial City (?). Very political. -If you are a Vampire, other vampires will no longer attack you on sight. You can seek out and join one of the three Morrowind Vampire clans, and either bring your clan to domination or unify the three clans. Fight the Tribunal Temple, who are organising a witch-hunt; the Great Houses have been infiltrated by a new Sanguine worshipping clan of vampires who feed so regularly it is hard to tell them apart from normal dark elves, and thanks to this the Temple has declared war on vampires. You can possibly join this Sanguine cult, but not if you are in the Morag Tong or the Dark Brotherhood, in which case you must destroy it. -As the East Empire Company, try to bring Hlaalu under the Empire's thumb while competing against them in the Ebony trade and the Solstheim colonies. -Lead the Ashlanders in an uprising against House Redoran! This again could be Dark Elves only. -Evil players can try to resurrect House Dagoth (hurrah). -Join the Imperial Legion, Talos Cult and Imperial Cult/Temple of the Nine, and try to re-establish Imperial rule in Morrowind now that the Emperor's dead by propping up Hlaalu and defeating the Temple. -The Blades have their own special quests and ranks again. Fight the resurrected Dagoth cult, and work together with the Imperial Cult to stop the Mythic Dawn from getting an influence in Morrowind. -Become a Lich, with special powers and abilities. -And lots more... Thank you very much for this excellent mod. I know this is a work in progress, and I hope I will be able to contribute.
