So I bought gauntlets and well once you put them on your hands disappear, but if you take them off your hands are visable again. I don't know if you already knew that or not but a search didn't provide anything for the issue.

That is what happens when wearing guard armor.
This is a known issue. We simply aren't adding what is currently menial content to the game, there is far more important things to be done.
the weird thing is I had quit then started to play again and then the armor was showing up but about fifteen minutes in it disappeared again.
Like I said, we aren't up to that.
