Whilst waiting for Skyrim to reinstall I decided to give Blender a tinker. At first I was just having some fun making different shapes grow and shrink, but then I thought I would try to remake my favourite weapon from Morrowind, Skull Crusher.
I'm aware the model I have made is by no means up to the quality of the stuff other people have been making, but hopefully with some pointers I can give it a quality boost. Again, I just downloaded Blender and just started tinkering away, my skill level is that of a complete noob.
Here's an image of the original for comparrison: http://images.uesp.net/c/cb/MW_SkullCrusher.jpg

This is why I love morroblivion.com, a tinker here and a tinker there, and we may have ourselves the best DLC to come out of Skywind.
I cannot stress enough if that every person who "thought" about helping the project actually just does one thing for it, then it all adds up and makes the difference between success and...well more success just quicker.
Don't forget that Skywind with full voice acting will be better than Skyrim itself :p
Redid it all last night, still looking for feedback and tips.
you need to work on the basic shape of it, other than that its cool that you are taking the step up and learn modelling :)
I think I will take a hiatus from this model and work on some more simple shapes to build up some basic skills. ;)
no you can continue with it, just place that pic i posted in the background of the modelling window, and model after it
or import the morrowind nif skullcrusher and model on top of that
That's a great idea Eloth, I'll give it a go. I have been learning heaps, it gets easier as I begin to find the buttons I'm looking for ;)
